Why God Colors Alive! Was Created

Leading Bible studies and even being inspired to write a few (by the Holy Spirit, of course) has been an awesome, yet humbling privilege. There was a particularly intense period of major life changes and new directions in my life several years ago. The insights and wisdom of God, which He poured into my life during that time became a Bible study entitled: "Renovate! More God-Color Glory in Your Temple." The study opens with a scene from Isaiah beholding God's glory in the temple in Jerusalem, and Isaiah's realization of his sinfulness and need for healing and restoration. The temple in our study refers also to the apostle Paul sharing that our bodies are indeed temples of the Holy Spirit -- Jesus Christ alive in us -- we are not our own!

Whether you are discovering for the first time the difference Jesus can make in your life and just beginning in your walk with Him, or you have been a Christ Follower for many years, you can learn from what is here. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to find the truths He has in store for you personally.

I've shared this study with a women's Bible study group I was leading at the time it was written. Beyond that it has been neatly tucked away for the time and place where I would be guided to share on another stage.

The World Wide Web is certainly another stage and one much larger, in fact, than any place I would have ever imagined presenting what God had so tenderly shared with me. I feel the Spirit of God encouraging me to go forward to present this as a blog. The original study was eight weeks in length. I believe posts will be at the rate of two to three per week. Of course, it will take much longer to cover the material.

I'm remembering that this was a journey. Slowing it down considerably as we contemplate the renovations God would choose in each of our hearts and lives is a God thing. The blog will also be here indefinitely. Posts will remain active and archived. So, you will also be able to travel the journey at your pace, slowing it down even more. Or you can jump on board at any time and know you will find the whole study there and ready when you are. I find this one of the most awesome advantages of being able to present this way.

Thank you for choosing to join me on this adventure to Renovate! adding "More God-Colored Glory in Your Temple." May you be blessed in our time together. I am praying for each person that joins me here in cyberspace. Please share your stories and thoughts via your comments. We will then be connected in praying for each other and for the work of God in all of our lives.
